Vacay Trip # 4: Paris Rodin (2) ロダン美術館

I was supposed to meet up with a friend for lunch and had some free time in the morning so I decided to go to the Rodin Museum. This is R's favorite but unfortunately we didn't have last time and plus it was too cold to enjoy the gardens. This time it was absolutely perfect. The museum itself is very small which feature's Rodin's atelier and his major works. But the main portion of the restaurant is actually the garden where it has many of his masterpieces in display including the "Thinker". I was blown away. I went early in the morning so there were not that many tourists; not that there are so many compared to the other museums like the Louvre. I just sat on a bench for a while and quietly overlooked the quiet park. It was like a haven in the midst of chaotic Paris. If you're looking for a quiet place surrounded by art, I highly recommended that you go early morning. Extra tip: many of the locals like the cafe restaurant there, so worth a try.

ロダン美術館は前回行きたかったのだけど時間がなかったので今回こそは絶対行こうと決めていました。Ｒをはじめ、地元パリ人にとても人気があります。パリに住んでいる友人とランチの予定があって少し時間があったので立ち寄ってきました。美術館自体はとっても小さいのだけど（１５分もあれば全部周れちゃいます）見所はなんといっても庭園。広い閑静な庭園内には彼の傑作が幾つもあってみているだけで癒されます。もともとオルセーやルーブルに比べると観光客は確実に少ないので空いているのですが朝早くに行ったのであまり人がいなく、ゆっくりと彫刻一つ一つを見て周れます。今回は時間がなかったので行けなかったけど庭園内のカフェも地元人には人気なのだか。今度またRとゆっくり来よっと。
