The first thing I bought at 7-Eleven upon arrival at Hong Kong Airport.
To the ordinary person, this may seem like an old-school Chinese drink.
But to me, it holds so many memories of childhood, thanks to growing up
and going to school around Sunset District in San Francisco. Vitasoy, ah
the ubiquitous lunch time boxed rink you bring you back to nostalgia.
Even for you all living in California, this may seem like a mundane
thing but living in Europe it's like finding gold. Oh how I missed you!
香港航空のコンビニで最初に買ったのがVitasoyという香港人なら誰でも知っている国民的豆乳。サンフランシスコの華僑コミニュティーで育ったあたしにとってはすごーく親しみのある味。華僑のスーパーではどこでも売っているし、友達のうちに遊びに行ったときにおやつに出るのもこれが定番。味的には薄い豆乳という感じで味気ないと思う人も多いかもしれないけど、あたしにとってはたまらない味なのです。豆乳の他にもいろいろな商品も出しているけど、お勧めはチョコレートミルク！コンビニで100円前後で帰るので是非試してみてください♪
