In recent years Costco has slowly made its way into the Asian market but not so much in Europe, which as a Costco lover has been disappointing. What is not to love about Costco? They have everything from piles of paperclips to vacation trips and of course who can overlook the samples? And who can forget the cheap trashy food court food. Many of my fond childhood memories are family trips to Costco which R (being European) incessantly makes fun of.
But to my surprise a Costco exists in Geneva! Or should I say a Costco-like wholesale store. They have everything from fresh produce to tubs of mustard to hundreds of business use straws and napkins. The prices are unfortunately, not Costco like (12 packs of gum costs $31 USD, goodness) but it's still nice to stare at the highly stacked Nutella or rows and rows of olives: it feels like home.
And the best part: they have a Mexican section! Oh goodness I was almost in tears.
