The 22,000km Trip (8) Bangkok: Chatuchak Weekend Market

I know it's a very "tourist"-y thing to do which I am not really a fan of but everyone kept on telling to come here once when you're in Bangkok. For those who are not familiar, it is a huge market that is only held on weekends. I am not kidding when I say "huge". The entire market is divided into over 20 sections so be sure to check the map before you go and make a list of things of what you want to buy, otherwise you will be utterly overwhelmed. Also expect a lot of people in a concentrated, non-AC space so be well-prepared!

Besides being ginormous and chaotic and hot, you'll bound to find some good nick-knacks here. I bought a dress, passport cover, and essential oil all for a total under $10USD so it's quite worth it. For those that are staying in Bangkok long term, there's even furniture, plants, and cooking utensils so it's a definite must for finding good deals. I was not feeling good at all that day so I wasn't able to stay for a long time but make sure to hydrate yourself aplenty and also pick up some nice food in the stalls. If you get tired, there's also massage stands to recuperate.

hehe funny signs for your bathroom
