Vacay Trip #3: Rome Day 2 ローマ二日目

I admit, I was scared stepping out of what happened the day before but I decided that no one can stop me from having fun here so after a long night and a long morning, I set out. And it was a beautiful day in Rome. Here are some first glance photos. And I'm happy to announce that  I was clutching to my bag and my camera for my life so nothing bad happened. In fact all the waiters and people in the streets were extremely nice compared to other European tourist cities. I can see why everyone has gotten under the "Italian charm".

正直言って盗難被害にあって次の日はローマ市内に出るのは恐怖でまた狙われたらどうしよう、これ以上被害にあいたくはない・・・でも部屋に引きこもっているわけにも行かないので勇気を出して外出。最初はやはり怖かったものの、ローカルのローマ人はみんな親切。スイスやフランスよりもずっと気さくで人なつっこい。少しずつ固まっていた体が開放されたような。

ローマは古代の町とは言われているものの実際に行ってみてそれを本当に肌身実感。いたるところに遺跡がゴロゴロ転がっているし、まるで古代都市と近代都市が共存しているような場所。なんでもこんなに大都市なのに地下鉄が2線しか通っていないのは遺跡が地下にたくさん埋まっていて掘れないんだとか。

この日は「ローマの休日」のシーンを一周し、ローマが一望できる公園の丘で夕日を見て一日が修了。もちろん始終バッグとカメラを死守していたので何事も起こらなかったですよ！

Best Carbonara ever　イタリアに来て初めての食事。お腹空いてウロウロしていたら親切なボーイさんが手招きしてくれた　笑。ローマでであったイタリア人はみんな気さくな感じでした。ちなみにオーダーしたのはカルボナーラ。麺が太めでソースがいい具合に麺に絡み合っておいしすぎる

Wine glasses in Italy are HUGE. Well worth the money ;) Just FYI　それにしてもイタリアでワインを注文するとグラスでかっ！お得サイズだわ～　笑
